CLIENT STORIES:
I recently worked with Steve on an area important to my long-term growth and development and found him to be professional, focused and very adept at effectively helping me devise my own strategy. Needless to say, I had a successful outcome and would recommend him without reservation to any other small business looking for a coach and mentor.

What is Coaching

When we see an athlete like Dara Torres do the unthinkable at the age of 41 and make the USA Olympic swim team. How about when Denzel Washington channels a character to perfection. We're seeing the value of coaching. We've never thought about having a coach for our personal and professional lives before. If a single performance or sports goal is worth using a coach to achieve, then how much more important are our own lives? Working with a coach keeps you focused on what's important for you. With a coach, these goals stay front and center on your radar screen. This almost always results in you reaching for more in all areas of your life.

As defined by the International Coach Federation:

Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives. Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs.

Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.

How does Coaching work?
I work with my clients primarily through one-on-one telephone coaching sessions lasting 30-45 minutes. Coaching is done through 3 calls a month at a convenient day and time. You will decide what you would like to work on as well as what to work on during the week. Occasionally a coaching engagement or project also requires face-to-face meetings or "shadow coaching" to see how you're "showing up" in your work environment. The reason coaching works is because it provides a unique combination of:

  • Support
  • Structure
  • Accountability
  • Objective Feedback
  • Action
